'The Psalm of Nature' - a poem

I relaxed in the lap of nature
in my garden under the hibiscus bower,
the sparrows provided a concert
their inspiration was a flower.
A myriad of butterflies beautiful
host of red roses were there,
the evening sun lent its hue
a picture perfect sight lay bare.
Anon came a nightingale
with her psalm so engrossing,
carried me away to her world
a glimpse of heaven had I in passing.
A sight so exquisite
gave me thoughts deep,
they flowed into a poem
like water down a mountain steep.
After a medley of emotions
my heart was serene,
even long after I had the glimpse
in my mind’s eye I enjoyed the scene.
