The mirror calls
it invites,
it watches me
tells me my identity.
But I visualize the ideal,
my search, my goal.
Attainable? May be not.
Waiting for the miracle,
for an angel to descend
to fulfill my daring dreams.
There’s the brooding silence,
the silence over fate.
Life looks on with tightly pursed lips.
Not a sound to be heard;
then mirror itself speaks
mutters something inaudible;
God drops a hint,
but no sound again.
Watching my path
I move on listlessly…

Wonderful Poem, truly poetic!
Hello,
"Life looks on with tightly pursed lips.
Not a sound to be heard;
then mirror itself speaks
mutters something inaudible"....
Best lines!
Your creation is really a good one.
And the topic you chose is you yourself know... one of the 'strongest' :)
Great work

Amritbir Kaur ji,
You have really depicted a universal truth about life and we humans' through beautiful words:
..'Life looks on with tightly pursed lips.
Not a sound to be heard;..'
Another gem in your kitty.
Thanks for sharing.
God bless.
good good good....
he he... i liked the climax. we never know what our true destinies are. that's the irony of life.
These words have such a resonating dimension to them...so beautiful...
Namaste to you, sister.

Pranam!
Pl know you are never moving listlessly.... Yea... on the top of the list, else you would not have written about it in this fashion....
The mirror in search is right there in the inner walls of the mind.... I hope all those inner walls itself are the mirrors in your case!....
So be greatful to god.....
Blessed with eternal mirror... ok, I feel still that mirror reflects your face only.. thats enough no.... great no....
Why worries......
Let there be no more sounds.. why sounds? to kill the serene silence?
Never watch your paths even.. where you will end up in tension... instead watch your pathless paths!
Then you will be able to decode the hints of god.... The hints of the inner!
